where's that Rumi quote when you need it?

Ok, So I am finally back after neglecting my New Year's resolution and luck journal.... for a long time...due to several factors:

• computer problems.....had my motherboard replaced and now my copy of Windows comes up as fake...trying to resolve this 3 plus weeks later...
• trolling a web site looking for that love partner...not going so good
• losing my focus

But now Spring is really here and I'd like to jump back on the band wagon....The Rumi quote I'm referring to is something about not looking for that person but instead look inside at the reasons you resist intimacy.....(something like that...)

I'm very lucky to be me, living where I live, enjoying the life I do with an awesome job, beautiful city and many great friends.:)  I need to let it go and see what happens.....

the price of dates...

the kind you eat from the Middle East.....are readily available and cheap here.  My favorite dried fruit stand guy, Alexi, has the best ones.  For a nice big bag, (a pound or half a kilo in local lingo) 8 greevna....the equivalant of a dollar:) yum

Luckily the shelf with the plants broke my fall...

Yes, really.... While doing some Spring cleaning today, I was washing walls.  I very cautiously was standing on a sturdy stool and stepped down, not quite as carefully.  Though I managed not to step into the bucket of sudsy warm water, I bumped into it and leaned/fell onto the shelf on the window ledge.  Said fall bruised up my right forearm pretty good, and smashed up a perfectly good fruit crate (at least on one side) but it succeeded in keeping me from further injuring myself by falling into or out of the window and or slipping on the now wet floor from the spilled bucket.  The really good news is, that the make shift shelf, which consists of two bed foot boards wedged between the radiator and the window sill did not waver in the slightest.  A little bruised, perhaps more cautious, but lucky nonetheless.:)

What a fun job

....ah....it's a great feeling to say and think I have a really fun job!  I must be a lucky person!

Spring

It was spring like enough out today to inspire me to wash my windows:)

Skype Sunday!

..always my favorite day!  I got a chance to catch up with Courtney and her fam, but then my computer and Skype totally froze....so I missed the other little family (Pete, Nicole and Gretchen), but hopefully will see them soon:)

How can I not consider myself lucky when I went bowling with a group of other teachers from work?!  Though I've always been a really, really bad bowler, it was a good time!

Skip ahead to April...

Now that it is April, I must report that my aspiration of finding a love partner has turned out to be quite a laugh...Perhaps I need to stop looking and let it be, or not:)

Lucky to still have a working computer...

hhh,,mmmm...how can I explain my almost 3 week absence?  I am obviously a bad blogger:(  Part laziness, falling out of the habit of journalling here every evening and partly computer problems.... So my computer was having ongoing issues and I finally found and took it in to an authorized Asus repair place. ...... Over $300. later, it's back home with a new motherboard, keyboard and something else.  Turns out it wasn't the easy issue it appeared to be at the start, a loose connector for the plug.... At any rate, I am fortunate to have been able to afford the repair:)
